Partners Carlyle Sherrill and Bill Cameron both have deep roots in the Central Piedmont which provides them with a good understanding of the kinds of legal problems that the families, businesses and farmers here are most likely to encounter. In fact, these lawyers got to know each other through a shared interest in cattle breeding.
Carlyle Sherrill, a graduate of Davidson College and the University of Baltimore Law School, where he served as editor of the law review, has more than 25 years of experience. He got his professional start as a law clerk to Judge Sam Ervin, who served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Since then, clients with problems relating to divorce, child custody, real estate, personal injury claims, or criminal charges have turned to Carlyle Sherrill for advice and representation in court.
Bill Cameron is in his fourth year of practice in the North Carolina courts, and he is already achieving a reputation as an insightful and effective advocate in family law, civil litigation and criminal defense. After graduating from Davidson College, he earned his law degree from the University of Alabama in 2001. As well as representing clients in cases ranging from negligence claims and child custody disputes to DWI defense and domestic violence charges, he serves as an adjunct professor of criminal law at Pfeiffer University.
